In the heart of Drogheda town, our restaurant, bar and gastrolounge are open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Scholars Townhouse Hotel is renowned for its award-winning food, with the majority of our ingredients sourced within the Boyne Valley region.
Our food has been awarded two AA rosettes for culinary excellence, making us one of the most well-known food destinations in Drogheda. We also stock a selection of fine wines, craft beers, spirits, liquors and barista-style coffees; and we, of course, offer signature cocktails as well.

Our Gastro Lounge at Scholars hotel offers a selection of fine wines, craft beers, local whiskeys, barista-style coffees, cocktails and an abundance of spirits and liquors.
Each item on the menu is homemade, from the bread right through to the beautiful desserts on offer. The majority of ingredients come straight from the Boyne Valley region. Scholars Restaurant is a two AA Rosette Restaurant and renowned for its use of local produce throughout the Boyne Valley Region. Serving lunch & dinner in the Restaurant there is something for everyone on our extensive A La Carte Menu. Serving Sunday lunch from 12pm until 5pm on Sunday, our three course set lunch menu has something for everyone.

Afternoon Tea
Served daily from 12pm-4pm, Our afternoon tea offering mixes great food with an authentic setting. Enjoy a three-tier menu of sandwiches, sweet treats and scones, all freshly made by our in-house pastry chef. We offer a vast selection of loose leaf tea and beautiful barista style craft coffee — and did we mention Prosecco?
